She Leads, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles’ signature event, was a fabulous success! A standout addition was the Leadership, Her Way panel which brought together an incredible lineup of powerhouse women (and one teen Girl Scout) who are redefining leadership on their own terms.

A networking hour featuring hands-on activities and demonstrations by Girl Scouts, showcasing our transformative programs including robotics, outdoor adventures, STEAM, media literacy, and more

GSGLA CEO, Theresa Edy Kiene, delivered impassioned remarks on the state of girls and women today, and why Girl Scouts is a lifeline. And we honored not one, but two, outstanding champions of girl leadership: Michelle Wroan, Managing Partner of Los Angeles at KPMG, received the Changemaker Award; Andy Park, Los Angeles Office Managing Partner at EY and proud self-proclaimed Girl Dad, accepted the Rise Together Award on behalf of EY.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of She Leads and created a day of celebration, hope, empowerment, and JOY. Special shout-outs to Lynette Romeo—Emmy Award-winning journalist, NBC4’s Today In LA co-anchor, and true friend to GSGLA—for lending her incredible emceeing talents to She Leads for the third year in a row; Mackenzie Green—social media marketing expert and GSGLA board member—for leading the fundraising portion of the program and bringing our cause to life; our devoted and passionate event chair Renee Fraser, PhD, and host committee Pamela Burga, Kate Capossela, Sonia Endler, MacKenzie Green, Nina Skorus-Neely, and Nicole Ward; our incredible Girl Scouts who led activities, engaged with guests, and shared their stories on stage; and all our amazing sponsors, especially our Presenting Sponsor, TechMD/Integris, along with our Innovator and Groundbreaker level sponsors, EY and KPMG.
