Cookies for the Community (C4C)
The Cookies for the Community (C4C) program is a council-wide service project that gives Girl Scouts the opportunity to learn philanthropy, and the community the chance to donate cookies to military troops overseas and GSGLA nonprofit partners.
Girl Scout Cookies purchased through our Cookies for the Community Program (C4C) can be tax deductible since they are donated to local causes, such as food banks and first responders. Ask your Girl Scout for a receipt.
How it Works:
- Girl Scout troops collect monetary donations from customers (many customers prefer to donate money, rather than purchase products).
- The donations are then used by the council to purchase packages of cookies.
- Those products get donated to our nonprofit C4C partners (see below).
It’s the perfect way for customers to give back to Girl Scouts and their community, even if they choose not to buy products for themselves!
Cookies for the Community Beneficiaries
GSGLA donates cookies to our C4C partners who support first responders, military service members, and families in need of assistance. All Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles Cookies for the Community partners are registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.
