The first planned gift in the Girl Scout Movement came from our founder, Juliette Gordon Low. After converting the carriage house of her home into the first Girl Scout national headquarters, she gifted the property to Girl Scouts in her will. Carry on her legacy and make Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles a beneficiary of your estate plans when you become a member of the Juliette Gordon Low Society.

Bequest

Your bequest will leave a legacy, maintain the assets you need, and generate a tax savings.

Retirement Plan Assets

Name GSGLA as a full or partial beneficiary of your retirement plan. The benefit amount you specify will be distributed to GSGLA, tax free. 

Life Insurance

Life insurance provides a simple way to give a significant gift to GSGLA with possible income tax benefits. You have the flexibility to name GSGLA as a full or partial beneficiary

Endowment

An endowment is a gift deposited into a fund where the original amount—called the principal—remains forever. Income earned from the fund’s investments provides the means to support GSGLA in perpetuity. 

As a Juliette Gordon Low Society member, you will be recognized as a member of the Society, receive invitations to special events hosted by Girl Scouts, get updates about the work of Girl Scouts, and know that your gift will impact girls for generations to come.
