Build-A-Bear Workshop has moved to our Upland Service Center!

Girl Scouts can now build a bear or furry friend as unique as they are at our store at the Upland Service Center.

You’ll choose a furry friend, stuff it with the help of our staff, and then bring it to life with the iconic Build-A-Bear’s Heart Ceremony tailored specially to Girl Scouts! Then have some fun dressing your friend up with vests and tunics with matching troop numbers, outfits, cookie merchandise, accessories, sounds, and more!

Enjoy this activity on your own, with your troop or even have it be part of a special celebration, like a birthday party or bridging ceremony!

All Build-A-Bear pricing is determined by the Build-A-Bear Corporation. We are unable to match or offer discounts that you may find on the official Build-A-Bear website. Our merchandise selection is subject to change based on availability or season.

What can I bring to our Girl Scouts Greater Los Angeles Build-A-Bear Workshop party? toggle arrow

You are welcome to bring party supplies, including food and beverages to your scheduled event at the reserved Upland Service Center meeting space. Tables and chairs are available to use. Decorations are encouraged too!

Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles does not provide any party supplies or decorations.

When can I schedule my Build-A-Bear event? toggle arrow

You can schedule your event on Wednesdays or Fridays at 4:00PM - 6:00PM.

Is there a fee to reserve the space? toggle arrow

Yes, it’s $8.00 an hour to reserve the Upland Service Center. Your event will begin in either the Thin Mint, Samoa, or Tagalong Room or the Outdoor Green Space. A staff member will take groups of five at a time to the GSGLA store to build their bears.

What is the maximum capacity? toggle arrow

Up to 25 guests can be accommodated per event.

Can I build a bear/furry friend without an appointment? toggle arrow

Yes, we can during our walk-in store hours:

How do I pay for the Girl Scouts Greater Los Angeles Build-A-Bear Workshop for my troop or group? toggle arrow

Payment is due 24 hours in advance of your scheduled event. You will receive an invoice via email from the Store Manager. Any additions made to your event or for additional purchases will be charged at the end of your event.

If payment is not received prior to your event, we can reschedule your event.

Can I order a Girl Scouts Greater Los Angeles Build-A-Bear online and pick it up in store or at another location? toggle arrow

Currently, we are unable to offer our guests this service.

Will the GSGLA Build-A-Bear Workshop be held in any other location, or can we schedule the experience to come to one of our events? toggle arrow

Currently, we are only offering the Build-A-Bear Workshop at the Upland Service Center.

Girl Scouts Greater Los Angeles Build-A-Bear Workshop Return Policy toggle arrow

We want to make sure each of our guests is “beary” happy with their purchases. If for some reason you would like to return an item, we will be happy to assist you according to the terms of our Satisfaction Bearantee.*

A refund is available with the original proof of purchase from Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles Upland Service Center. If you do not have an original receipt, we will exchange or provide a merchandise credit for any returned product at our discretion. A refund or credit will be issued for the purchase price, current list price, or prorated price, depending on the item(s) returned.

Can GSGLA accept returns from other Build-A-Bear Workshop locations? toggle arrow

We cannot accept returns from other Build-A-Bear Workshop locations.

Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable.

*We gladly accept returns for exchange or refund within 15 business days. Please save your receipt.

Can I bring in a bear or furry friend for a repair to our Girl Scouts Greater Los Angeles Build-A-Bear Workshop? toggle arrow

Our associates can make minor repairs at our Upland Service Center location; however, we are not able to accept bears requiring extensive repairs.

We will always do our best to take care of your furry friend and will provide as much assistance as possible.
