National Delegates represent their council members’ interests during the National Council Session and will vote on proposals and elect the National Board of Directors.
Thank you for joining us in Orlando, Florida at the 56th National Council Session, the world’s largest girl-led event for Girl Scouts and young women and everyone who supports them.
Hosted by Girl Scouts of the USA every triennium (every three years), the mega event provided attendees with unforgettable experiences as they gained inspiration, tools to empower themselves, and the know-how to lead change in their communities—connecting with some of the most influential women in the world along the way.
Our National Delegates were 24 of over 90 that represented California at our National Council Session. They voted on seven proposals that were presented. In just under three days, our delegates took decisive action, debated, listened, and made critical governance decisions; leading to outcomes helping to move our organization forward.
We were able to bring our full delegation of twenty-four for the 2023 National Council Session. Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles was represented by 14 adults and 10 girl scouts:
