This exciting program replaces GSGLA's former Girl Scout Advisory Bureau (GAB) and brings fresh new energy to developing media smarts and being a voice for Girl Scouts. As part of this dynamic team, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts will represent over 34,000 members across Greater Los Angeles, stepping into the spotlight at council, media, and civic events, and starring in GSGLA marketing campaigns.

Applications for the 2026–2027 GEM Term Are Now Open!
Are you a Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador Girl Scout ready to step into the spotlight? Applications for Girl Scouts Exploring Media (GEM) are now open through July 31, 2026! Whether you're applying for the first time or returning for another year, make sure to select the application that's right for you. Girl Scouts who apply will receive an email with next steps on August 7, 2026.
