Whittier is a single-story, wood-frame building that was graciously donated to Girl Scouts in 1942. It has ample outdoor space and is adjacent to Broadway Park and its facilities. It is a perfect space for meetings, training and practicing outdoor skills.
Whittier Community Center has one main room and two smaller rooms, a full kitchen, fireplace and restrooms.
LEARN MOREGSGLA acknowledges that we gather as a Girl Scout family on the land of Southern California indigenous peoples, and honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who have stewarded it through the generations. This calls us to commit to continuing to learn how to be better stewards of the land we inhabit as well. When you visit the Whittier community center, you are standing on the traditional land of the Tongva Gabrieleño and Fernandeño Tatavium.
