Hey Girl Scout! Want a STEAM adventure you'll never forget? Roll up your sleeves and build your very own working flashlight-no batteries needed! With the Ambessa Play DIY Kinetic Flashlight Kit, you'll see how winding a dynamo creates energy, powers an LED, and stores it in a capacitor.
Explore energy, solve problems, and feel proud as a maker. Leave with your very own flashlight and the pride of being an engineer-plus knowing that for every flashlight kit we use in this program, another is donated to a Girl Scout friend through Ambessa's give-back initiative.
Whether you're a Girl Scout or bringing a friend who isn't one yet, share the impact! Join together for just $30 for two-because learning and giving shine brighter when shared.
By the end of the session, participants will leave with a
functional flashlight they built themselves and the pride of being an
engineer. Perfect for Girl Scouts curious about energy, electronics,
and hands-on STEAM fun!
This is a troop and/or individual
Girl Scout event. Both Adults and Girl Scouts must register. Adult
registration and attendance are required to meet the appropriate
Adult-to-Girl ratio guidelines. Adults are responsible for health
history form and supervising/assisting girl(s).
Note:
Staff reserve the right to make allowances for more, or to
limit the number of adults due to space limitations. We will notify
you of any changes in advance. Thank you for your understanding as we
try to maximize the number of Girl Scouts who can experience this
program, while also ensuring safe and adequate supervision.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- Registration is paid in full at time of registering.
- For registration fee of $10 or less: no refunds.
- For registration fees exceeding $10: cancellations prior to close of registration are subject to a 10% administration fee.
- All cancellations after close of registration: no refund.
- No refunds and no prorated refunds will be made for any registrant who arrives late, leaves early, attends only part of the program, or chooses not to attend the program.
- The council will provide a refund if an activity is cancelled due to insufficient registrations, acts of nature, or other reasons beyond its control.
- Please allow 2 weeks to process refunds. Refund will be credited back to original form of payment.
