The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is a dynamic leadership experience for 9th-12th grade teens ready to grow as mentors and role models. CIT 1 introduces foundational leadership skills through hands-on learning, youth development exploration, and camper engagement. After completing CIT 1, participants can advance to CIT 2, where they deepen their leadership abilities, mentor younger campers, and help foster a positive camp culture. Both programs build confidence, communication, and teamwork- essential skills for future roles in youth development and beyond.

Camp CIT Cancellation and Refund Policy:

No Transfers. Cancellations only.

Cancellations 2 weeks prior to the start of the session: Full refund minus a 20% administration fee

Cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the session: no refund

No refunds and no prorated refunds will be made for campers who arrive late, leave early, attend only part of the camp, or choose not to attend the camp.

If a camper can no longer attend due to Illness or injury, a physician's letter must accompany the refund request prior to start of camp. Please email to registration@girlscoutsla.org

The council will provide a refund if it cancels an activity due to insufficient registrations, acts of nature, or other reasons beyond its control. Refund may be pro-rated if applicable.
