Whisk it, flip it, fire it up-Girl Scout style!
Calling all future foodies and fearless flame tamers! In Campfire Chefs, you'll learn how to cook up tasty campfire creations while mastering the skills every Girl Scout needs to shine outdoors. From dump cakes to foil feasts, braided biscuits to mini pizzas, you'll stir, sizzle, and serve your way through a day of delicious discovery.
We'll kick things off with fun icebreakers and patrol bonding, then dive into fire safety, charcoal know-how, and the secrets of Dutch ovens and box ovens. You'll get hands-on with every step-from food prep to cleanup-learning how to cook, clean, and camp the Girl Scout way.
Whether you're a first-time camper or a seasoned snack slinger, this class is packed with flavor, friendship, and fire-powered fun. So grab your apron, tie back your hair, and get ready to cook like a Girl Scout!
* Note: This is NOT a Drop Off event. This is a troop and/or individual girl event where girls must attend with their leader or a parent/guardian and follow all guidelines for the appropriate adult-to-girl ratio. Please refer to Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints for information. Email training@girlscoutsla.org to inform us who will be the adult(s) attending with each troop/girl registered.
Campfire Chefs is an outdoor experience, and safety comes first. In the event of rain or severe weather, we may need to postpone or cancel. Please keep an eye on your email for updates. Don't forget to pack weather-appropriate gear in case we're able to proceed!
