Grades: 2nd - 5th, Adults
Calling all curious Brownies and Juniors! Guided by stories from
author Gisa Nico and inspired by national parks, girls will step into
the role of citizen scientists through hands-on outdoor
investigations. Use real science tools to observe nature, collect
data, and explore animal habitats while practicing the same skills
real scientists use. Girl Scouts will discover how their data helps
protect plants and animals-and earn their Citizen Science badge by the
end of the program!
This is a troop and/or individual Girl Scout
event. Both Adults and Girl Scouts must register. Adult registration
and attendance are required to meet the appropriate Adult-to-Girl
ratio guidelines. Adults are responsible for health history form and
supervising/assisting girl(s).
Note:
Staff reserve the right to make allowances for more, or to
limit the number of adults due to space limitations. We will notify
you of any changes in advance. Thank you for your understanding as we
try to maximize the number of Girl Scouts who can experience this
program, while also ensuring safe and adequate supervision.
