Join UCLA's American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for an inspiring day of engineering, leadership, and college exploration! Designed as part of GSGLA's Emerging Leaders series, this unique experience will introduce Girl Scouts to the exciting possibilities that await after high school while connecting them with current engineering students and future mentors.

Throughout the day, participants will hear firsthand stories from UCLA engineering students about their academic journeys, choosing a major, navigating college life, securing internships, and pursuing careers in STEAM. Through interactive panel discussions and small-group networking opportunities, Girl Scouts will have the chance to ask questions, gain valuable insights, and learn about the many pathways that can lead to success in engineering and beyond.

Participants will also engage in hands-on engineering challenges led by ASME members, applying creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and design-thinking skills while exploring real-world engineering concepts. A guided tour of the UCLA campus will provide a behind-the-scenes look at student life, engineering spaces, and one of the nation's top public universities.

Whether you're already passionate about STEAM or just beginning to explore future possibilities, this experience will help you build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, expand your professional network, and discover how engineering can be a powerful tool for creating positive change in your community and the world.
