Building Better Communities
Troops who have completed a community service project since October 2017 are encouraged to submit their work to receive the Building Better Communities patch.

California Native Badge
There are unique plants and animals and people, native only to the region that we call home. Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors can learn about these elements and tie together the knowledge of Greater LA’s unique natural and cultural history.

Columbia Memorial Space Center Patch Programs
Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles can learn about astronomy, robotics, and space exploration! To register, contact the Columbia Memorial Space Center directly at 562-231-1200 and ask for Rick O’Connor. There are 20 spots per session; however groups of 10 or more can schedule their own workshop.

Driving My Financial Future: Toyota Financial Empowerment Program Sponsored by Toyota Financial Services
Toyota Financial Services is offering a FREE financial literacy program that teaches girls real-life financial skills and helps them pursue their dreams. Girls in grades 4–12 who attend Title 1 schools and/or are eligible for the school lunch program can participate.

  • As part of the Toyota Financial Services (TFS) “Driving My Financial Future” Financial Literacy Program, TFS is offering grants for Take Action projects that seek to address an issue and have a financial empowerment theme for girls in underserved communities.  Eligibility requirements include currently participating in “Driving My Financial Future” Financial Literacy Program and having earned one or more Financial Literacy badges.

Daisies through Ambassador Girl Scouts will learn the skills needed to make outdoor living fun, enjoyable, and easy!

Free Being Me Patch Program - Ages 7-10 Guide | Ages 11-14 Guide
Developing leadership skills is an important part of being a Girl Scout, and body confidence is an important step in becoming a good leader. This program for girls ages 7-10 and 11-14 helps girls recognize global beauty pressures and become more body confident. Contact Michelle Geathers after completion of the program to receive your patch. 

Guide Dogs of America Patch Program
The Guide Dogs of America Patch Program is to help Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scouts facilitate knowledge of raising and caring for specialty guide dogs.

JPL/NASA EARTH Science Patch Program
Most Girl Scouts know that JPL builds rovers and NASA sends astronauts into space. Did you know that NASA and JPL also keep an eye on our home planet – Earth? Understanding Earth from the viewpoint of space helps us understand and connect to our changing world.

The Justice Patch Program
By earning the Justice Patch, girls will develop a sense of fairness, and an understanding of why we have laws and how laws can be changed. Girls will also learn how laws are designed to help people, as well as the role of lawyers and judges in the community. Brownies to Ambassadors who want to earn a Justice Patch must meet a judge and take a tour of a courthouse. To schedule a meeting with a judge and tour a courthouse near your troop, please contact that court directly. Los Angeles Public Library
The Los Angeles Public Library is one of the largest public library systems in the United States. We serve the 3 million people that live in the City of Los Angeles with our 72 Library Branches, Central Library, and 24/7 access through our website, providing free and easy access to information, ideas, books and technology that enrich, educate and empower every individual in our city's diverse neighborhoods.This patch will educate Scouts about the variety of in-person and online resources LAPL provides, and help them understand the vital roles libraries play in building strong communities.

Through this badge, Girl Scouts will learn about, experience, enjoy, and help support the health, welfare, and habitat of marine animals of Southern California.

Starry Skies Patch Program for Brownies
The Starry Skies Patch Program for Brownies teaches girls about astronomy and constellations, while relating it to important issues here on Earth, such as light pollution and space junk! Brownies can earn a patch doing fun, educational activities while working toward completing their Journey: It’s Your World-Change It! Brownie Quest

Techbridge Patch Program
Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and Techbridge have joined together to offer five fun, hands-on program guides to help inspire girls in science and engineering!
