Highlighted Events

Marat Daukayev Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker

December 8, 2018 at 2pm and 7pm
December 9, 2018 at 11:30am and 4:30pm

Marat Daukayev Ballet Theatre will donate $1/ticket back to Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles. Tickets are $32 each.

Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet comes to life with a cast of over 100 dancers. A Nutcracker Prince comes to life and fulfills a young girl’s dream of love in a magical world. Marat Daukayev School of Ballet will offer an exclusive show specific Fun Patch included with ticket price. Girl Scouts who attend The Nutcracker are also invited to be our guest at Marat Daukayev School of Ballet, 731 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036 for a behind the scenes look at the rehearsal process, a Q&A with production and management team members, and an interactive demonstration with upper level cast members on December 2, at 3pm.

The documentary film Getting to The Nutcracker, made in 2012 about this production, is available on Amazon Prime and will air on PBS KOCE-1 on Saturday 11/17 at 6:00pm and Sunday 11/18 at 11:00am and PBS KOCE-2 on Thursday 11/15 at 6:00pm, and Friday 11/16 at 10:00am.

The Wonderful Winter of Oz

December 15, 2018 through December 30, 2018

Lythgoe Family Panto presents The Wonderful Winter of Oz live on stage at The Pasadena Civic, December 15 – 30, featuring Kermit the Frog® live on stage as The Wizard, Mackenzie Ziegler (Dancing with the Stars: Juniors and Dance Moms) as Dorothy, and Tony Award-winner Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray) as Glinda. This show is in the format of British Panto, featuring a modern, holiday version of the classic fairytale with pop music, So You Think You Can Dance alumni, comedy, audience participation, family-friendly magic and more! And, don’t miss the FREE Winter Wonderland experience one hour before each show in the lobby.

The Patrol Challenge

The biennial Patrol Challenge includes a photo safari, unique activities, and a scavenger hunt with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Crews, and more. GIRLS UNITE allows Girl Scouts to Dream, Act, and Change their world together at the Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, California. Speak Out. It's Your Earth! encourages youth to find their voice and help make a positive impact on the environment. Girl Scouts will explore the aisles of Ralphs while learning easy ways to make a difference. Lessons teach the impact of energy conservation, recycling, agriculture, and more! Learn More

electriKIDS -
 Girl Scout Workouts
Bring a high-energy kids’ fitness class to your Girl Scout troop meeting! Our instructors will keep the girls active with hip hop dance, circuit training, and more for the entire hour. Geared for Daisy through Junior Girl Scouts. We also offer electriGIRL Girls’ Empowerment workshops for Cadettes. Learn More

Local Court Field Trip Opportunity & the Justice Patch Program
The Justice Patch Program (see the requirements under our Patch Programs) is designed to help Daisy through Ambassador Girl Scouts develop a sense of fairness, an understanding of why we have laws, and an awareness of how laws are enacted and can be changed. Contact Jan Zari.
