Safe at Home in Nature
Nestled in the foothills of north Claremont, this tranquil five-acre setting is surrounded by 1,600 acres of rolling hills, hiking trails, and bountiful wildlife. At La Casita, generations of Girl Scouts have explored nature, tried new activities, and created wonderful memories with friends. During camp we’ll discover our local chaparral ecosystem, and learn about native uses of plants, and how the ecosystem is changing. We will blend past and future, beloved Girl Scout traditions, and outdoor skills combined with today’s cutting-edge STEAM activities to prepare new generations of campers for future leadership roles. La Casita Day Camp also features an archery range and high ropes course which allows Junior and Cadette campers to seek adventure and gain new skills. Girls are grouped according to age level and assigned to small units for individual activities.
