Wonder: Advanced Screening
This is a special advanced screening of the new movie Wonder. This movie is based on the New York Times bestseller, and tells the incredibly inspiring story of a young boy who was born with facial differences. Go with Auggie on his journey of going to a mainstream school for the first time as the community and his classmates struggle to discover their compassion and acceptance. He becomes the most unlikely of heroes as he proves to everyone that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out. We will have a special pre-movie activity/speaker as well (to be announced later). Join us as we embrace all that makes us different, and learn to accept those for what makes them different as well.
Special Pre-Movie Program: Operation Smile will present a special pre-movie program! We will be doing a collection drvie for needed baby items. There will be a table inside the theater where troops can get more info on Operation Smile's great work! The organization is also providing a special guest speaker before the movie begins to really help tie the theme/storyline from the movie together with the mssion of Operation Smile.
