Are you ready for the most amazing summer job you’ll ever have? You’ll work outdoors with girls of different ages as you learn and share valuable skills. Girl Scout camp offers experiences like no other, giving girls the opportunity to test their courage, build friendships, unlock their imaginations, and more. Our staff participate in training on important topics like child development, conflict resolution, and emergency preparedness. We also offer specialized training and certification, depending on camp location, in lifeguarding, ropes facilitation, and archery.

APPLY! Applications are open now for summer 2020. The process takes about 20 minutes. If your skills and qualification match what we are looking for we will call you to schedule a phone or in person interview.

ONCE HIRED All required forms will be completed electronically through a link emailed by your Camp Director. Please bring the physical ID’s submitted for the Form I-9 for Employment Eligibility Verification to camp.


Types of Positions

 
Administrative
 
These positions supervise program staff and unit staff. These office positions will be able to spend time with campers as time allows but their focus is on running camp, logistics, and supporting the Council Staff in charge of camp. We are looking for camp professionals with significant camp experience for these opportunities.

  • Health Director (Must be 21+)

  • Operations Supervisor (El Ranchito Only)
  • Activities Supervisor (El Ranchito Only)
 
Program Staff 
 
Our program staff are hired to lead a specfic program activity such as:
 
  • Archery 
  • Outdoor Skills
  • Challenge Course
  • Water Skills
  • Climbing Wall
  • Horseback Riding (Osito Only)
  • Older Girl Leadership Program
  • Nature
  • Art
  • STEAM
  • Kitchen Assistant

Although experience in the specific activity is required for many of the instructor positions, we also offer training. There are also several instructor positions where no experience is required. We offer on-site training.

 
Unit Counselors 
 
The most direct link to our campers, unit staff provide supervision as well as making camp magic happen! Unit Staff get to bond closely with campers offering them support and supervision during their summer camp experience. Unit Staff often participate in many of the camp activities alongside their campers.
