GSGLA Heritage Committee

What is the Girl Scouts Heritage Committee?

They are a group of volunteers dedicated to caring for the collection of vintage Girl Scout uniforms, books, and memorabilia that is donated to GSGLA.  These items are used to promote the history of Girl Scouting in programs for troops, displays, fashion shows and other presentations for Girl Scout leaders, and the community as a whole.

How can you help?

  • Contribute that old uniform that is hanging in the closet. Accessories like ties, belts, hats, socks, books and other Girl Scout items are also needed.
  • Join the Heritage Committee. Several meetings of the full committee are held throughout the year for overall planning. Committee members may work at a Service Center with others using any variety of skills such as sewing, researching, writing, embroidering, planning new programs, setting up displays, producing fashion shows, etc. There is a job for any willing person!
