Steps to becoming a Series Leader

Welcome! And thank you for your interest in becoming a Girl Scout Series Leader. As a volunteer, your most important role is to be excited about everything this opportunity affords you: a chance to partner with girls and an invitation to play a critical role in their lives. 

Series Leaders work directly with girls and have the support of our staff. As a series leader you can have more flexibility in your time commitment and still help girls achieve their best.

To get started as a Series Leader make an appointment with a membership specialist to get started. Click here to find the service center nearest you to make an appointment.

Step 1: Attend a Welcome Session; within your welcome session you will learn how to create an eBiz account and  register as a member of GSUSA.

Step 2: Completing the Volunteer Application is a must for all volunteers, we will need references (be sure to include 2 non-related references). Once your application has been submitted you will receive a link for the  Background Check.

Step 3: Your application and background check will be reviewed. Once cleared, you will receive an Approval letter.

Step 4: You will be sent a link for your signature on our Volunteer Agreement.

Step 5: In the meantime please watch Volunteering for GS Series and Events (password: volunteer).

Once you have completed the above steps you may begin your series program with your staff partner.
