Tournament Troop & 100th Anniversary Float participants
The Tournament Troop is made up of GSGLA Senior and Ambassador Gold Award Girl Scouts (and area Eagle Scouts) assembled to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade and welcome the world to Pasadena on January 2, 2012.
For the Tournament Troop:
To be eligible, girls must have earned the Gold Award (girls grade 10-12) or are a 12th grade Girl Scout in the process of completing her Gold Award (proposal must have already been submitted). Gold Award Recipients that are also high school graduates/ college freshman within the same year are also eligible to apply.
For the 100th Anniversary Float participants:
To be eligible as an outwalker, you must have earned either your Silver or your Gold Award by June 2011, have Early Bird registered for the 2011-2012 membership year, and have met all other requirements. To be eligible as a float rider, you must have Early Bird registered for the 2011-2012 membership year and have met all other requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be a very limited number of girls riding on the float.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade. Deadline is Aug. 30, 2011. Selections take place in early October. The Tournament Troop begins training for their 5.5 mile walk down Colorado Boulevard in early November.
