Discounted Whale Watching Trips

Newport Landing invites all Girl Scout troops to enjoy a 2.5 hour whale watching trip out of Newport Beach. Your Girl Scout troop will receive a special $14 Scout and $17 adult/sibling group rate. We are a valuable resource for environmental stewardship, enjoyable learning, and exciting sightings! Age-level-appropriate curriculum and other fun activities are also available on our website to prepare your troop for what they may see on our boats. Our whale watching trips run all year long, seven days a week, and there’s no minimum group size to book at this rate! E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
September 6, 7:30 p.m.
The Hollywood Bowl is hosting a special Girl Scout Family Night with a special screening of "E.T." Famous Composer John Williams will be present to introduce the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by David Newman, and the orchestra will perform the movie score live! The Sound Of Music Girl Scout Day

Launching a North American tour at the Ahmanson, three-time Tony Award® winner Jack O’Brien will direct a lavish new production of the world’s most beloved musical. 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the film version, which continues to be the most successful movie musical in history. The spirited, romantic, and beloved musical story of Maria and the Von Trapp Family will once again thrill audiences with such songs as “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re- Mi,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Edelweiss,” and “The Sound of Music.” For just an additional $5 per person in your group, you will receive a patch and an invitation to the post-show Q&A with select members of the production. Bridges of Madison County: Troop Leader Night!

Troop leaders, parents and alumnae are invited to this stunning new production featuring gorgeous, soulful music by Tony Award®-winning composer Jason Robert Brown. The Daily News hails it as “one of Broadway’s best scores in the last decade.” With a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman (The Secret Garden, The Color Purple) and direction by Tony Award® winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza), The Bridges of Madison County is the unforgettable story of two people caught between decision and desire, as a chance encounter becomes a second chance at so much more. Ongoing Events


GIRLS UNITE allows Girl Scouts to Dream, Act, and Change their world together at the Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, California. Disney Youth Education Series Programs are available year round to troops of 10 or more Girl Scouts, but on select dates in May and June of 2015, troops or individuals can enjoy exclusive to Girl Scout educational experiences that only Disney can provide!

  • These programs take place in the information-rich setting of the Disney Parks.  Each program is approximately three hours in length with troops and individual girls experiencing the events with other Girl Scouts. 
  • Participants must be a registered Girl Scout and at least 7 years old at the time of the event.
  • Each participant will receive a GIRLS UNITE participation patch and Disney Youth Education Series certificate. 
  • Discounted pricing includes: the Youth Education Series program and admission to the parks for the rest of the day! The same discounted pricing is available for additional guests visiting the Resort on the day as the troop. These additional guests will not be permitted to attend the programs but are welcome to play in the park. Pricing includes options for annual pass holders.
  • Adult Chaperones will be required to attend the program with their troop or individual Girl Scout based on a 1 per 10 ratio.

Disney Youth Education Series!

There are so many to choose from! Disney Youth Education Series programs take place in the information-rich setting of the Disney California Adventure® Park and Disneyland® Park to give students –and their teachers– a hands-on, educational adventure. This collection of guided field studies, available in Applied Sciences, Environmental Studies, Liberal Arts and Leadership Development, is accredited, standards-based and designed to reinforce your classroom lessons. Practice teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving skills as your group participates in one-of-a-kind moments that use the magic of Disney to make learning even more impactful. Calling all Girl Scouts! Join us on Saturdays at the Walt Disney Concert Hall for a day of fun! Activities include art, instrument "petting zoos," orchestral concerts, storytelling and more! Click here for more information.

Ralph’s Earth Day

Speak Out. It's Your Earth! encourages youth to find their voice and help make a positive impact on the environment. Girl Scouts will explore the aisles of Ralphs while learning easy ways to make a difference. Lessons teach the impact of energy conservation, recycling, agriculture, and more!
