Girl Scout event for A Cinderella Christmas, at The Pasadena Playhouse

The Pasadena Playhouse has a special event for Girl Scouts on December 11th at 12:00 p.m. for A Cinderella Christmas, staring Lauren Taylor as Cinderella and Alex Newell as the Fairly Godperson!  Our event includes a discount to the show, a patch presentation, snacks and a post-show discussion with the Lythgoe Family and cast members of A Cinderella Christmas.

Panto at The Playhouse, now in its fifth year, has become a "must-do" holiday tradition for Southern California residents. A Cinderella Christmas is the latest holiday spectacular presented by the Pasadena Playhouse and Lythgoe Family Panto in the style of the traditional British Panto. A panto is interactive holiday fun for all ages, and the timeless tale of Cinderella will feature comedy, magic, dancers from "So You Think You Can Dance," and contemporary music from Meghan Trainor and Justin Timberlake.

"Those who have never been to a panto will have a glorious introduction to the form." - Los Angeles Times

Panto at The Playhouse productions have featured luminaries from the worlds of music, theatre and television, including Sabrina Carpenter, John O' Hurley, Ariana Grande, Ben Vereen, Olivia Holt, and Lucy Lawless.

Teen Innovation Awards

Do you know a teen with a unique idea but without the means to make it happen? Sometimes, a little boost is all it takes to start something big, and that's where The Federation's Los Angeles Jewish Teen Initiative comes in. Our Jewish community's most inspired, inventive teens can apply* — as individuals or as a group — for a Teen Innovation Award and receive up to $1,500 to transform a vision into reality!

We believe that teens must play an active role in shaping their own Jewish engagement. That means giving them the space and power to take risks, be creative, and experiment with new ideas. These awards will incentivize teens to be imaginative and resourceful — and we can't wait to see what they come up with!

For more information, please contact Rebecca Zarrabi at (323) 761-8333 or, or feel free to download our FAQ sheet.

*Applications must be received by October 28th to be considered. Eligible applicants are students between the ages of 13-18.
