What Will You Do When the Lights Go Out?

Each year for the Take Action Project, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles participates in Earth Hour by turning off all non-essential electronic devices (8:30-9:30pm). Girls turn off their lights, televisions, and computers to help conserve energy and better the planet.

In 2013, Earth Hour was followed up by Power It Up - an afternoon of learning how to conserve and use energy wisely by playing fun games, making water filters, and ultimately learn how to make a positive impact on the Earth.
