At Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, our goal is to provide an enriching atmosphere that fosters growth and development in our campers as they participate in carefully designed, dynamic activities.

Our resident camp encourages and support girls in:

  • Developing a strong sense of self
  • Nurturing positive values
  • Building practical life skills
  • Cultivating healthy relationships
  • Promoting cooperation and team building
  • Appreciating diversity in a multicultural world
  • Becoming resourceful problem solvers

GSGLA camps focus on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience—a model that engages girls in discovering themselves, connecting with others, and taking action to make the world a better place.

This model is more inclusive and empowering of girls because the experiences are girl-led. Activities encourage experiential and cooperative learning. Each week is a new adventure as girls explore interactive themes that keep them engaged and learning.

Osito Rancho, located in the San Bernardino Mountains, is GSGLA’s premier summer resident (overnight) camp. Girls get a taste of independence in a safe and fun environment while making new friends, learning new skills, and exploring the great outdoors. A summer at resident camp is the quintessential, high adventure experience that generations of Girl Scouts have cherished and enjoyed.
